Spirit of Cape Henlopen

Cape Henlopen Light was a victim of a locomoting dune that ultimately consumed the land and led to the final demise of the light during a howling storm on a winter day in 1925. The lighthouse was built in 1767 and guided ships from the Atlantic to the Delaware Bay for over 150 years. The mug image is a reproduction of an original watercolor by Lee M. Buchanan. Research for the painting used for this mug included archival photographs and drawings. Choose your favorites from this collection and shop today!
